Participation in SVN Congress 2025 in the Netherlands, Focused on Automation and AI in CSA

Date
8 November 2025
Location
De Rijtuigenloods, Amersfoort, the Netherlands
Role
Participant and Team Leader at Sterdoc

SVN Congress 2025, held under the theme Stay Connected, took place on 8 November 2025 at the historic De Rijtuigenloods venue in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. The event brought together sterilization professionals, central sterile services staff, and companies involved in medical device reprocessing.

I attended the congress as a participant and Team Leader at Sterdoc. I was not a speaker at this event. My purpose was to learn from operational experience in the Netherlands, review emerging technologies, and exchange ideas with professionals in the field.

During the first programme round, I participated in the specialist session on “Automation and AI in CSA.” The session considered how digital technologies can improve workflow, reduce human error, support data recording and analysis, and assist decision-making in central sterile services.

Another notable part of the programme reviewed international experience and differences in healthcare systems and facilities in countries including Mexico, Peru, Argentina, and the Netherlands. The comparison highlighted the importance of adapting sterilization services to each country’s infrastructure, workforce, and economic conditions.

The scientific programme and exhibition environment supported practical discussion about automation, traceability, quality control, and CSA process management. For Sterdoc, the congress provided an opportunity to better understand developments in the Dutch market and the future needs of sterile services departments.

Participation in SVN Congress 2025 was a valuable opportunity to update professional knowledge, strengthen industry connections, and gain a clearer view of digital transformation in sterilization and medical device reprocessing.
